The Full Moon was yesterday, and we are still basking in its glow. This is a time featured in many films and books as a time of high energy and power.
In the cultural consciousness it's connected to witchy things and magic.
It's a day of transformation (but hopefully not of the werewolf variety). It's a day for dancing and singing.
It's a day to enjoy an evening walk lit by the silvery light of the moon.
In witchcraft traditions, the full moon is a day of celebration and harvest.
The moon cycle begins with the new moon, when we set intentions and consider who we are becoming or what we are creating in the month ahead.
The full moon is the time to celebrate the work that has been done since the new moon, and it's a time to harvest the gifts of this work.
Even though the official full moon has passed, you can still celebrate by setting aside a few minutes over the next 2-3 days to notice what you are harvesting.
Here are some questions to ponder or journal about:
If you have the energy you can take it a step further and dance or paint or write or sing or create about what you are harvesting. Make it physically manifest in a way that feels interesting to you.
In a few days the moon will wane. This will be a phase of releasing what no longer serves your highest good, but for now, dance in the moonlight and celebrate being exactly who you are right now.
